    Fits and works well, but maybe it's a case of you get what you pay for... visually and fit are exactly the same as the original Dyson part. However, while the original Dyson part lasted 5+ years, this knock-off product is starting to show it's lower quality after less than a year. The red felt strips along the edge are pealing off. Yes, we will simply take some strong glue and re-apply them, but this wasn't a problem with the original part from Dyson even after 5 years of use.

      I was looking for a replacement for the red strip on the cleaning tool attachment, and was not able find that exact item. So, I purchased this alternate tool, which has the red strip. It’s not quite an identical replacement and doesn’t seem as sturdy as the Dyson product, but does seem like it will work as expected and has so far. It’s been very easy to use and fits tightly on my Dyson wand. This has worked well for me.

      Based on reviews I took my chances buying this attachment - the price was right with the right shipping (prime), but this DID NOT fit my Dyson DC15. I could have returned it, but found someone to "donate" it to because what I paid wasn't worth the hassle. This attachment is great for removing pet hair on couches and pillows and dust off cloth lampshades, but you might as well buy it from Dyson directly so as not to have a "hit or miss" experience.

      The original tool that came with my Dyson was thrown out accidentally by a cleaning service. Didn't even notice until a couple of weeks later, so I wasn't able to make a claim. The pricing on this replacement part was so low compared to a genuine Dyson tool that I took a chance. I thought I had the DC14, but after actually taking a look at the model number on the vacuum, I have the DC15. The opening on this tool is slightly larger than my hose, so it didn't fit correctly. I had to find a creative way to make it fit. I simply took some tissue paper and wrapped it around the end of the hose a couple of times. The tool fit snugly on! No problem vacuuming the stairs. As far as fitting on top of the canister, it does not snap into place as the tool is slightly smaller than the original (not sure if the tool for DC15 is slightly larger??). It does fit in the compartment loosely, but have not tried vacuuming vigorously enough to see if it will fall off.
